Boondocks Noon Years Eve

Noon Years Eve at Boondocks

We hope you all had a chance to attend the Macaroni Kid Noon Years Eve event at Boondocks this year.  It was three hours of fun with Captain America, Rapunzel, Alice in Wonderland, The Queen of Hearts, a balloon drop, all you can eat pizza-salad and breadsticks and lots of games and activities.  Boondocks is THE PLACE to have fun anytime of year and it was fun "ringing in" the new year with the kids at noon.  Take a look at the fun and put it on your calendar to attend next year!

Happy New Year

We hope you have had a wonderful 2014 and wish you many happy days in 2015.  Stay tuned for more fun family activities in the next year.  We are thankful for you!

Color Me Mine with Santa

What a magical, fun night we had painting a plate with Santa.  Color Me Mine devotes an entire week each December to bring magic to kids.  When we first got to their store, we sat down and each child had a paper to color with santa and a reindeer.  Then Santa actually came to see us!
Each child was given a plate and then Santa came and put his hand print on the plate.  After that the child put their hand print right on top of Santas hand print.

I can't wait to pick up my daughter's plate and have a keepsake for Christmases to come! The spots fill up super fast so mark your calendar for next year~!

Sea World

I want to give a humungous shout out to Sea World for so many wonderful memories my family and I made last week!  Our family had a fabulous time....from the 1-year-old to the 67-year- old! Here is our top 10 list of reasons you need to take your family to Sea World this month!

 1) The Shamu show was Ahhmazing! I had seen the show many years ago, but to be able to watch my kids watching the show was even better.  You know that excited, "I'm about to cry" feeling you get when you are so excited for your kids....yeah, I had that!

2) Christmas music was playing throughout the park the whole day. And not just "holiday" music, but "Christmas music", the kind that focuses on Christ, the real meaning of Christmas.  Kudos to Sea World for playing that kind of Christmas music during the holiday season.

    3) The Dolphin show was so much fun!  The trainers interact with the dolphins in the water and boy can those dolphins jump!  They also had Cirque de Solei type acrobats diving into the water and doing all kinds of flips.  Really cool!

4) Sea World has snow! Over 6500 square feet of fresh snow everyday and my kids loved playing in it.  It was nice to go get a snowball when we got hot.
5) The touch pools.  Right when you walk in there are pools with all kind of fish for the kids to interact with.  One set of fish even gave me a manicure as they ate the dead skin off my fingers.

 6) The eat all day pass.  Ok, whoever came up with this was a genius!  You pay one time for a food pass and then you can eat as many times as you want during the day.  It really paid off for my two growing, always hungry boys! And I have to say that the food at Sea World was really good! It was worth going back for seconds, and thirds, and fourths :)

7) The rides! Manta and Journey to Atlantis were the big favorite for the big kids but they also had lots of rides for the little ones too.

8) The Penguin Encounter is inside a building and as you walk in you get on a moving sidewalk and get to watch the penguins.  We were able to watch them being fed and even named a few of them.  I'm pretty sure they had a penguin mafia :)

9) The Beluga Whale.  Creepy but cool! Have you ever seen one of them up close and personal? Wow!

10) The gift shops.  At the end of each exhibit they had a gift shop dedicated to that one animal.  From whales to dolphins to turtles to sharks, you name it they had a souvenir to remember you visit.

We had a wonderful time and highly recommend a visit as soon as you can!

This is one of my favorite treats my mom made when we were young. They are easy to make as well as fast to make and delicious! You can take all your kids hershey bars from their trick or treat bags and make a fun treat.  Plus, they are gluten free!

                                        CHOCOLATE BALLS

1. Melt and cool 1 large chocolate bar ( or 12 miniature hershey bars )
2. Blend cooled chocolate with 9 oz. Cool Whip
3. Cool and drop by teaspoon in crushed gluten free graham crackers or crushed nuts and roll into balls.

Pablo Picasso said-
"Every child is an artist.  The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up"

Last week at Color Me Mine we saw how much fun kids have without a t.v. or an iPad or video games.  Thanks to the lovely ladies at the 25th Street store in Ogden kids were able to transform their handprints into spider and witches and crazies and draculas.  The kids had so much fun painting their plates and watching Coleman turn balloons into all sorts of hats, swords and animals.  If you missed the Halloween party, stay tuned for information on the next one.

Thanks COLOR ME MINE for helping our kids create memories!
I had my birthday party at Boondocks in Kaysville this week and it was SO MUCH FUN!  The best part was being treated special. I was able to spin the birthday wheel, I got 200 extra tickets, had a delicious gluten free pizza and had fun with my family and friends.
This is me in front of my favorite game.....skeeball.
My sister and her son playing air hockey.  I tried to distract her as much as possible so her 5 year old could score some points on her :)
My son and my sisters son shooting bad guys. Where else can a 21 year old have fun with a 5 year old?
AJ and Ella riding motorcycles with the wind blowing in their hair.
Bowling for dollars.....ok, just kidding just for fun
Me and my sister before getting drenched on the Boats.  Thank you very much to the Boat guy for soaking us! NOT!
Maddie and Sofie playing in the little kids area.  Thanks Boondocks for a fun day!
